For an insurance customer, I am searching for a freelance (Life) Business Analyst to support a major regulatory and operational transformation project related to Belgium’s Transparency Law and DB2P (Sigedis) data reporting requirements.
The role involves detailed analysis, documentation, testing, and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance and operational readiness for new pension transparency obligations.
Responsibilities
* Analyse transparency law requirements and assess their impact on life insurance and employee-benefit products.
* Interpret and validate DB2P / Sigedis data obligations, mappings, and reporting rules.
* Perform gap analysis between current processes and new regulatory requirements.
* Document business needs, data flows, and functional specifications.
* Conduct interviews and workshops with internal teams, subject-matter experts, and external partners.
* Support project managers with planning, reporting, and follow-up on key deliverables.
* Prepare test cases and scenarios related to transparency law changes and DB2P data flows.
* Perform functional testing, validate outputs, and support UAT.
* Identify defects, coordinate resolutions, and ensure requirements are met before deployment.
* Create clear documentation and support materials for internal stakeholders.
* Explain regulatory impacts in practical terms to non-technical teams (operations, customer service, actuarial, etc.).
* Ensure business alignment across departments.
Profile
* Either experience in Life Insurance and/or Employee Benefits (Belgium preferred) OR hands-on experience with Sigedis / DB2P pension data services.
* Understanding of Belgian insurance regulatory changes (e.g., Transparency Law) is an advantage.
* Strong business analysis capabilities: requirement gathering, process modelling, documentation.
* Experience with functional and data testing.
* Comfortable conducting interviews and validating business assumptions with stakeholders.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently in a structured and proactive way.
* Comfortable collaborating in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
