MissionThe Product Delivery Group cares for the full life cycle of our IT and software installations including IT deployment and clinical operation startupUpgrades and updates for both in-house software and supporting third party vendorsSoftware and IT configuration handlingTroubleshooting and resolution of issuesMonitoring and maintenanceIT obsolescence remediation Due to the ever increasing risks of various attack possibilities from inside and outside of the company we set a strong focus on IT security and IT hygiene for the proton therapy (PT) sites.Your role as a Software Engineer with a focus on software and system administration is to execute the technical tasks to fulfill our mission.We’re located in all regions to provide the most efficient support via remote and on-site support; the travel rate is approximately 20% of your time.In this position, you are expected to be the second line of support for PT sites, coming after a small (2-3 engineers) permanent site-dedicated technical team. Key responsibilities As a Software Engineer, your responsibility will be to: Travel to proton therapy sites for initial installation of IT equipment, verification, formal software testing, general software and IT maintenance and performing assessments of the local IT and software infrastructure.Be part of a rolling schedule production software helpdesk: provide remote support to our sites worldwide during installation and long-term customer service phases.Support the R&D teams for informal bug and feature testing.Contribute to tools development to improve internal workflows and the IT and software monitoring of our installed baseSkills and Qualifications You have A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, a superior technician qualification preferably in IT or Computer Sciences or an equivalent experience.Good knowledge of Linux enterprise distributions and (ba)sh environmentWindows enterprise architectures (ActiveDirectory, Server Manager, SQL Server Manager)IP stack and networking plus firewallingIT good practice: backup, data protection, security. An awareness of version control systems and configuration managementExcellent communication skills in English.Asset: Experience in healthcare IT: Electronic Medical Records (e.G.
