Tax Manager
Your Mission as Tax Manager, you will step into a high‑impact role, leading all statutory tax compliance and tax accounting. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of all tax‑related filings and entries. This position involves close coordination with the Epiroc Group Tax team and external advisory firms to drive strategic tax planning projects and ensure that returns and reports are prepared in accordance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) in compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations.
* Ensure tax accounting records are accurate and aligned with IFRS, CPC, and internal standards.
* Review and approve tax calculations, including current and deferred taxes.
* Oversee tax reporting submissions to Corporate Tax and monitor compliance across all filings.
* Manage tax‑related system updates (e.g., BPCS, Mastersaf) in line with legislative changes.
* Monitor withholding taxes and perform periodic reconciliations of key tax accounts.
* Lead the company’s adaptation to Brazilian Tax Reform, including system and process changes.
* Develop and maintain transfer pricing documentation in alignment with local regulations and global policies.
* Support compliance with transfer pricing guidelines across the organization.
* Provide expert guidance on tax regulations and their business impact.
* Coordinate tax audits and manage relationships with internal/external auditors and authorities.
* Prepare responses and documentation for tax inspections and ensure successful audit outcomes.
* Monitor and optimize recovery of tax credits.
* Lead, develop, and coach the tax team to achieve business and performance goals.
* Participate in and lead cross‑functional projects as required.
Your profile
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law or related field, active CRC registration (Brazilian CPA).
* 7 years or more of relevant international tax experience in Big 4 or similar positions, with high‑level experience in Brazilian tax legislation and technical tax requirements.
* Solid proficiency in English and Portuguese (direct report to global team); Spanish is a plus.
* Experience in Mastersaf and BPCS, proficient in Excel and Microsoft tools.
* Experience as a people manager, training and developing teams.
* Experience in multi‑national organizations with a broad global presence.
