Pull up a chair.
We always have a place at the table for new talent, so won't you join us? Our name, What's Cooking?, is followed by a question mark because we are always curious and open to new ideas. So yes, we are also curious to learn more about you.
Are you just as open-minded and enterprising as we are? In that case, we look forward to getting to know you/meeting you.
As part of our development, we are looking for a
Material Planner
to ensure the optimal availability of raw materials and packaging for the production of lasagnes at our production site in
Wanze.
Your responsibilities:
* You prepare, interpret and execute the supply planning based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure continuity of the production process.
* You manage supplier orders and closely monitor deliveries.
* You work in close collaboration with the central purchasing department, as well as logistics and production teams.
* You provide forecasts of quarterly or annual requirements to enable the purchasing department to negotiate contracts with suppliers for the appropriate quantities.
* You place orders with suppliers in accordance with the agreed conditions (lead times, minimum order quantities, quarterly volumes, supplier allocations, etc.) established between suppliers and the central purchasing department.
* You monitor supplier performance indicators (lead times, costs, quality) and take corrective actions where performance does not meet required standards.
* You manage stocks of raw materials and packaging, taking into account storage capacity constraints, expiry dates, and delivery costs.
* You work with an external warehouse to store raw materials and packaging when on-site storage capacity is insufficient. You organise deliveries to and returns from this external warehouse.
* You pay particular attention to the supply flow of meat (minced meat), which is managed on a just-in-time basis.
* You identify, collaborate on, and follow up improvement plans in cases of complaints, trial deliveries, commercial opportunities, market developments, etc., with the aim of improving purchasing performance and achieving cost savings within agreed timelines, budgets and objectives.
* You work closely with your counterparts at the Marche-en-Famenne site, who manage similar raw materials and packaging. Where necessary, you organise or request intercompany transfers.
* Planning in the food industry can be dynamic (quality issues with raw materials, delivery delays, etc.). When required, you take the initiative to bring together the relevant stakeholders (R&D, Quality, Purchasing, Production, Suppliers, etc.) to find solutions within the urgency of the situation and ensure follow-up of the agreed actions.
* You work within the Supply Chain team, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, and in close collaboration with the Production Planner. You may also be asked to support production planning during holiday periods.
Who are you?
* You hold at least a bachelor's degree.
* You have initial experience in a similar role within a Supply Chain department.
* You have strong administrative and organisational skills; a proactive and precise working method is one of your key strengths.
* You demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for your profession.
* You are attracted to a dynamic working environment.
* You have a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
* You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
What do we offer?
* As a Material Planner, you will join a stable, innovative and progressive Belgian food group with an international reputation.
* Through this varied and engaging role, you will actively contribute to the success and growth of our organisation.
* You will work in a pleasant and collaborative working environment.
* You can count on a competitive salary package, complemented by numerous extra-legal benefits.
