We are a startup that has truly made its mark!
Over the past years, we’ve developed solutions for clients such as Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Medi-Market, Burger King, Quick, IKEA, DEME, Proximus, Orange, D’Ieteren, VDAB and Hooyberghs. And recently we even built a Digital Twin of European airspace for EUROCONTROL, that can be used both on desktop and in XR! The walkthrough video of that project serves a great example of our work. 😉
Our young and close-knit team is capable of inspiring clients, developing project ideas and fully execute them. We design, build and integrate our software into the client’s ecosystem using hyper-innovative technologies. Mr. Watts colleagues have an intrinsic “can-do” mentality and work dedicatedly; usually over a tune in the background; with a smile and a joke!
What are your future challenges?
1. You build backend and frontend applications using .NET, NodeJS/TypeScript and React as part of our solutions, tailor-made to the needs of our customers.
2. You implement visually beautiful and performant interfaces based on provided wireframes and designs, according to modern standards.
3. You build APIs conforming to specifications such as OpenAPI or GraphQL.
4. Likewise, consuming these APIs is no problem for you.
5. You follow architectural designs and input laid out by our software architect, filling in the smaller details and structuring the codebase optimally yourself.
6. You ensure good user experience(s) for the end-user in all your work, together with our UX designer.
7. You set up infrastructure, services and CI/CD required to host and support our applications on Azure.
8. You come up with innovative ‘Proof-of-Concepts’ within the business domain of our clients and Digital Twins.
9. You monitor the aspects surrounding privacy, security and authentication in our projects.
For all of this you work directly with your colleagues in a close-knit team.

What do we expect from you?
Four (4) to eight (8) years of professional experience as a full stack developer.
Frontend:
11. Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and (React based) web components.
12. Solid understanding of modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
13. Solid understanding of building medium to large React apps using common dependencies.
14. Solid understanding of the NodeJS / NPM ecosystem to support modern frontend web development.
Backend:
15. Understanding of the .NET standard library and C# language features.
16. Understanding of how .NET assemblies work.
17. Knowledge of NodeJS / NPM and its ecosystem to develop backend applications.
18. Knowledge of common MS Azure services for web development.
19. Understanding of dependency injection and service containers.
20. Understanding of OOP design patterns and design principles.
21. Understanding of how to build backwards compatible APIs conforming to standards like OpenAPI and GraphQL.
22. Knowledge of common relational databases and SQL; specifically PostgreSQL.
General:
23. Good knowledge of the GIT version control system and the workflows it can support.
24. Understanding of how HTTP works, especially with respect to appropriate headers, status codes, authentication, encryption, security, privacy, and caching.
25. Sufficient understanding of the GDPR to take appropriate measures into account as developer.
26. Knowledge of how containers work and how to build them.
27. Understanding of how to program asynchronously using Tasks and async / await / promises.
28. You thrive in a young team that is open-minded and passionate about tech.
29. You communicate fluently; both orally and in writing, in Dutch and English.
Bonus points for:
30. Knowledge of the JAVA programming language and ecosystem to developer backend applications.
31. Understanding of how CI / CD works for static analysis, automated testing, and deployment / delivery.
32. Experience in working with common tooling to guarantee code standards (ESLint, prettier, .NET format, .NET Roslyn, etc…).
33. Knowledge of how to write automated tests.
34. Understanding of the most common vulnerabilities and how to avoid them.
35. Interest in other programming languages and paradigms.
