About the roleAs Senior Accountant, you will be the first point of contact for all inventory-related accounting topics. The role requires close collaboration with Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Shared Service teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely close, and full compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.Key responsibilitiesTake ownership of inventory and warehouse-related accounting activities for medical device shipmentsCoordinate and follow up with multiple stakeholders to ensure all shipments are accurately recordedPerform invoice controls and investigate discrepanciesEnsure full compliance with SOX requirements by implementing and maintaining robust financial controlsActively contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activitiesWork closely with the Shared Service Organization and external partners where applicableSupport internal and external audits, with a strong focus on inventoryEducation & qualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceRelevant accounting experience (preferably in an operational or inventory-heavy environment)Experience in an international or multinational company is an advantageSolid understanding of financial processes, controls, and accuracy requirementsExperience with SAP is a plus but not mandatoryHighly proficient in Excel, with a strong understanding of the data you work withFluent in English. Knowledge in Dutch or French is an advantage, but not required.The role requires on-site presence in Machelen at least 4 days per weekWe are looking for someone who learns quickly and is able to work independently, taking full ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
