To strengthen our Business Information Systems team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Global BIS Finance Lead, based in Ghent (Belgium).

Purpose Of The Function
* The Global BIS Finance Lead is the single point of accountability for strategy and implementation for all data, processes and systems to address the business requirements and challenges of the Finance organisation, ensuring operational effectiveness and efficient financial operations worldwide. The role is a key strategic leader within the BIS team.
* The BIS Finance Lead leverages Oracle and third-party systems, and builds new capabilities to automate finance processes, improve compliance, and maximise the value of corporate data. Partners with Finance Leads, Technology Leads, and Service Providers to define processes, design the technology architecture, and configure essential systems for delivering therapies to markets and transforming patient lives.

Roles And Responsibilities
* Establish strong relationships with all levels of the Finance organization and with Service Providers to deliver value-added solutions at strategic and operational levels.
* Establish governance processes, define an annual portfolio of projects, resource contracts, and oversee implementation to deliver outcomes that enhance the Finance organization and enable global execution.
* Work with technology vendors, consultants, and SMEs to deliver business process improvements and technology solutions aligned with objectives and that add value to argenx.
* Ensure Oracle and other third-party systems operate within a consistent technology architecture to support current processes and scale for growth and complexity.
* Collaborate with business leads and SMEs to lead strategy, define BIS service and portfolio priorities, and contribute to defined business outcomes.
* Maintain an understanding of the industry landscape and the Finance team's direction to ensure progress on the right priorities.
* Respond and communicate on tactical and strategic BIS technology issues across Finance and connected teams with internal and external partners.
* Lead support services with service providers, monitor SLAs, manage escalations, and follow up on issues.
Skills & Competencies
* Understanding of the industry landscape and global regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, IFRS, General Controls).
* Strong understanding of Finance functional areas including accounting, FP&A, tax, internal controls, reporting, T&E, treasury, and supply chain execution.
* Understanding of general information technology.
* Advanced understanding of Oracle technologies in Finance, including:
o Oracle ERP Fusion Cloud (Finance, Procurement, PPM, Supply Chain)
o Oracle EPM (FCCS, PBCS, TM, ARCS, TRCS, EDM)
o Oracle FDI
o Oracle OIC
o Oracle IDCS
* Optional understanding of third-party systems including Kyriba, Workiva, Concur, Appzen and Fastpath.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
* Direct, substantial experience implementing Oracle technology solutions in Finance.
* Experience overseeing Information services and systems globally.
* Experience managing geographically distributed teams in an outsourced environment. Demonstrated ability to work and influence at multiple levels within a multidisciplinary and matrixed organization.
* Degree in Information Technology, Finance or a combination of degree and related experience that exceeds the minimum qualifications.
* Minimum of 15 years working in technology roles for the Finance function.
