Sales Manager Belgium & Europe

At the Herstal site

In Herstal, you will join more than 150 colleagues specialized in the design, development, production and supply of weapon systems and ammunitions for use by customers in the Defense (MoD), Aerospace (OEM) and Land (OEM) sectors. With the Guided Rocket in the portfolio additional market’s segments are now addressed like Ground-to-Ground applications or Counter-UAS.

Your mission

Act as the primary point of contact with export customers and partners (internal and external), in co-ordination with the bid team and the Head of Product Line Management.

Order Intake

1. Development, generation and agreement of Thales Belgium order intake pipeline.
2. Management and delivery of the agreed annual order intake budget/target.
3. Identification, qualification, development and bid of Thales Belgium products and services into the export military markets


Capture and Bid Management

4. As appropriate, become the Capture Lead for captures.
5. Ensure appropriate Capture Reviews and appropriately tailored Gate 0, 1, 2 and 3s are conducted for each opportunity and capture.
6. Generate credible and timely Price to Win (PTW) targets to drive competitive pricing and higher PWin.
7. Ensure capture and bid resource and budget requirements are defined, managed and communicated effectively.
8. Agree prioritization of captures and bids to best utilize business resources.
9. Manage the development and execution of Capture Plans including win strategy, hot buttons, Price to Win, stakeholder mapping and engagement, BP budget, resourcing and return on investment.


Marketing

10. Development and delivery of product/service marketing plans, in co-ordination with the functions and Thales Belgium; to include: marketing collateral, attendance at events and exhibitions, demonstrations etc.


Stakeholder Management

11. Establish strong, collaborative relationships with the customer and industry partners to deliver superior market understanding drive competitive advantage.
12. Establish strong internal collaborative relationships with sister businesses within Thales Belgium, the Thales GBUs, Business Lines to identify, develop and win business opportunities utilizing Thales products, technologies and services?


Governance and Financial

13. Ensure Business Winning Governance, Ethics policies, processes are understood and followed.
14. Ensure BE Government export License requirements are met for all export opportunities.
15. Ensure Thales 360 data is kept up to date at all times.

19. Portfolio OI and GMOI (in year and five 5 year plan).

Required level of studies and experience

38. Bachelor degree in Mechanics or Electronics is an asset
39. Proven experience in a similar position is an asset
40. An experience working for an international defense company is also an asset;
