Responsibilities
* Provide remote and/or onsite technical support and training activities for Aspentech SSE modeling products, including SKUA, RMS, and EPOS.
* Guide users through onboarding, ensuring they understand software functionalities and workflows.
* Collaborate with users to optimize workflows, enhance project efficiency, and identify business opportunities within customer accounts.
* Work with local IT and Sys Admin teams to maintain operational systems.
* Provide loyalty‑inspiring customer service that drives engagement and sustains product usage.
* Support clients locally or remotely, helping them grow knowledge while following internal procedures for support, tracking, and reporting.
* Escalate complex issues to R&D when necessary.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and engineering‑related problems reported by customers using Aspentech proprietary software.
* Deliver high‑quality training classes based on geoscience principles and upstream workflows, and develop or maintain training materials for new releases and industry applications.
* Build long‑term relationships with assigned users, working closely with Account Management and Technical Sales teams to address needs using Aspentech solutions.
* Prepare and summarize technical proofs of concept, proposals and recommendations as part of the SSE interdisciplinary team.
* Conduct pre‑sales consultations to identify business problems, analyze client or prospect needs, and position Aspentech products as solutions.
* Proactively support sales efforts in collaboration with Account Managers and Technical Sales teams.
* Maintain and expand knowledge of scientific principles behind the software, current technologies, workflows, support standards, and troubleshooting techniques, leveraging the company knowledge base.
* Participate in customer projects, proofs of concept, and technical activities, including local industry events and tradeshows when required.
* Perform additional activities such as health checks on assigned accounts, onsite support and consultancy, deployments, departmental improvement projects, and authoring technical white papers.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Reservoir Modeling and characterization.
* Solid track record of geomodelling project execution.
* Previous experience with Aspentech SSE Software for Modeling (SKUA/RMS) is a plus.
* Working knowledge of reservoir engineering or uncertainty analysis tools is a plus.
* Proficient in Portuguese and English; Spanish proficiency a plus.
* Knowledge of New or Renewable Energy workflows (e.g., CCS, Geothermal Energy) is a plus.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Strong customer‑first mindset, able to identify opportunities that create value for customers.
* Excellent at managing multiple responsibilities and competing priorities.
* Travel ability; typical travel less than 30% and occasionally international.
