We are supporting key client in strengthening its cloud infrastructure and platform operations. We are currently looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support Azure-based platforms in a mission-critical, enterprise environment. Logistics Role: Freelance Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Contract: 12-month Initial contract (extension likely) Location: Brussels Languages: English and French or Dutch Start Date: ASAP Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable) Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure-based cloud platforms. Support Kubernetes-based environments and related services (Kafka, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, Opensearch). Apply patching, routine updates, backups, and basic disaster recovery procedures. Manage access control, identity, and secrets. Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments (Azure DevOps, Git, Helm). Maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform). Monitor platform health, respond to incidents, and escalate when required. Collaborate with development, security, and engineering teams. Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement. Required Skills Hands-on experience operating Azure cloud infrastructure. Experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms. Familiarity with Azure networking, monitoring, and security services. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control. Basic scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python). Solid understanding of cloud security and identity management. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Professional working proficiency in English. Nice to Have Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, CEPH, or Opensearch. Experience working in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
