Job Title: Senior Epidemiologist
Remote based in Belgium, Netherlands or Switzerland
Interim role - 12 months initial contract
We are currently partnering with an innovative and fast-growing biotech company focused on delivering transformative therapies in areas of high unmet medical need. On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Epidemiologist to join their Medical Affairs / R&D team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of cutting-edge therapies by generating robust epidemiological and real-world evidence that supports regulatory, clinical, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and implementation of epidemiological and real-world evidence (RWE) studies
* Generate insights on disease burden, treatment patterns, and patient outcomes using real-world data (RWD)
* Support cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, HEOR, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs
* Provide scientific and methodological expertise for study protocols, data analysis plans, and publications
* Assess and recommend external data sources such as disease registries, claims databases, and EHRs
* Contribute to the interpretation and communication of findings to internal and external stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
* PhD or MSc in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of experience in an epidemiology/RWE role, ideally within biotech, pharma, or a CRO
* Proficient in study design, analysis methods, and statistical tools (e.g., SAS, R, STATA)
* Demonstrated experience with RWD and global health data sources
* Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
