Job description:
In the scope of powertrain electrification roadmap development for our client (leading OEM of off-highway vehicles), we are searching for a skilled and motivated engineer to lead the Fuel Cell activity. The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team. The candidate will:
- Be the point person for all things regarding Fuel Cell for driveline applications for the team
- Be expected to be autonomous and responsible in his work and take initiative
- Together with the team perform design optimization study for electric/hybrid driveline, acting as fuel cell expert in the team
Key tasks are :
• Analyse client requirements and translate them to Fuel Cell requirements
• Develop scalable models for Fuel-cell systems to predict efficiency, cost, weight & size
• Develop optimal control & energy management algorithm for Fuel-Cell battery hybrid systems
• Create simulation models (high fidelity models, surrogate models/ lumped parameter/ etc.) ; models will predict performance, thermal behaviour, efficiency
• Evaluate design trade-offs of design choices
• Make design recommendations to meet customer requirements backed by strong analysis
• Working closely with motor, power electronics & energy storage engineer to optimize electric powertrain
• Analyse inter component behaviour within the powertrain
• Knowledge of electric /hybrid powertrain is highly desired
