Do you want to contribute to the development of sustainable, high-performance drying systems used in industrial applications worldwide? As a
Project Engineer
within the Quality Air Solutions Engineering team at Atlas Copco, you will play a key role in expanding our expertise in twin tower adsorption dryers (BD, CD, AD, XD).
You will work within the Divisional Competence Team Adsorption Dryers, responsible for R&D, production follow-up and field support of all dryer types – both for Atlas Copco and other brands within the group. Together with the project expert(s) and team leader, you will manage projects from concept to product release, delivering innovative and energy-efficient solutions.
In this role, you combine technical insight with creativity. You will select and calculate key components and materials, support designers in developing main and sub-components, and define and follow up prototype testing programs. You will collaborate closely with test engineers, technicians, and suppliers, interpret test results, and translate findings into design improvements.
You ensure that projects meet performance, cost, and timing targets while maintaining close contact with internal stakeholders such as production, marketing, purchasing, and service departments, as well as external suppliers and customers. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving ability contribute directly to the quality, reliability, and innovation of our adsorption dryer portfolio. You will report to the team leader of the competence team Adsorption Dryers, based in Wilrijk (Antwerp).

* Master's degree in Engineering (industrial, mechanical, chemical, or equivalent by experience)
* Experience in product development or R&D projects is an asset
* Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to quality and cost efficiency
* Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
* Knowledge of CAD tools and prototype testing is a plus
* Willingness for occasional short business trips abroad
