Job Description
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying and exploring strategic business development opportunities within the Bioanalysis division to maximize organization growth.
Your mission:
1. Actively prospecting new customers and new business opportunities worldwide and develop new opportunities with existing clients on Preclinical (GLP) and Clinical (GCLP) Bioanalytical projects. with your extensive knowledge of current market evolutions and conditions you will be responsible for the growth of our Bioanalysis Business with both new and existing customers, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and repeat business;
2. Lead important new/strategic projects
3. Establish, monitor and coordinate timely action plans, taking into consideration positive and negative deviations from target
4. Network actively to identify new opportunities in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry and establish key relationships;
5. Negotiate and close business deals;
6. Build strong relationships with the internal functional departments and maintain in depth knowledge of their services in order to support lateral business opportunities;
7. Represent customer needs to internal functional departments and follow up on the proposal and contract development process;
8. Lead the process to establish a mid-term strategy and a yearly budget
9. Represent the SGS Pharma Bioanalysis division in conventions, exhibitions, professional associations (etc.)
10. Develop and maintain the CRM database.
Qualifications
Your profile :
11. Min. 5 years sales experience in CRO/pharmaceutical industry with a focus on Bioanalytical Laboratory Services
12. Scientific educational or Business Management education
13. Fluency in English is a requirement and very good level in French and Dutch
14. Good understanding of the regulatory Bioanalytical requirements (GLP, GCP, FDA, ICH M10)
15. Good ability to communicate and create contacts
16. A large social network in Pharmaceutical sector is a must
17. Solid understanding of Principles of Drug Discovery and Development.
18. Experience with Salesforce as the operational CRM tool will be a plus
19. Experience working remotely with occasional client visits
