Sales Manager - Food Ingredients
Our client, a leading supplier of high‑quality food ingredients to butchers, supermarkets and food manufacturers, offers you a strategic and entrepreneurial role with real impact. From a central position in the B2B food chain, this organization helps retail and industry players develop distinctive, high-quality meat and convenience products through a premium assortment of spices, functional ingredients, sauces and casings.
You will be given the space to help shape the growth strategy in two core markets (retail/supermarkets and the food processing industry) and to build long‑term partnerships with top clients.

Role Responsibilities
* Drive and expand key accounts (≈70%) - Take the lead on strategic retail and food processing accounts, actively developing new business and deepening existing relationships to support the company's growth ambitions in its most important markets.
* Lead and develop the sales team (≈30%) - Coach and structure a team of six sales colleagues, implement clear KPIs and processes, and act as a "lead by example" front‑runner in the field to lift overall sales performance.
* Translate strategy into concrete market execution - Help define commercial focus and propositions for retail and industry, and turn these into targeted account plans, actions and deals that strengthen the company's position throughout the food value chain.
Requirements
* Seasoned B2B food sales professional - You bring substantial experience in B2B food sales, with a strong track record in managing and growing accounts in supermarket retail and/or the food processing industry, enabling you to quickly add value in a complex, demanding market.
* Commercial leader with a strong network - You have robust contacts within procurement departments at supermarkets and food processors, deep knowledge of sales strategies for these segments, and experience leading and coaching a sales team of around six colleagues toward KPI‑driven results.
* Hands‑on dealmaker with sector insight - You are comfortable closing complex deals yourself, understand the realities of production and product development (knowledge of meat processing or ingredient science is a strong plus), and use that expertise to steer the team and drive sustainable business growth.
