Why this role matters
UBench is entering a significant growth phase. Sofico, our parent company, is present in roughly 50% of our addressable European market — which means a growing share of enterprise deals reach us through an existing Sofico relationship. More customers, faster.
The implementation team is the first real experience those customers have of what we can deliver. And we’re a small company: there’s no large delivery organisation behind you, no army of project managers. What you build here, you build from the ground up — with real ownership, real customer impact, and direct visibility to leadership.
We’re looking for someone who has brought structure to a customer-facing delivery team and can carry the hardest enterprise relationships personally — while making the whole team predictable, not just themselves.
The role
You lead the implementation of enterprise customers on the UBench platform and guide a team of two Implementation Managers. This is a player-coach role: you carry complex, high-stakes implementations yourself — the same kind of work your IMs do — while setting the structure and the standard for how the team delivers.
Your distinctive contribution isn’t only doing the work. It’s making delivery repeatable: clear planning, realistic commitments, early risk-spotting, and customer relationships that stay on track even when the work gets hard. You’re the person who makes sure that what we promise during onboarding is what we can actually deliver.
The team’s work lives at the demanding end of implementation — complex integrations into a customer’s existing landscape, onboarding difficult customers onto existing capabilities, and building new capabilities with a customer that sit right at the edge of what the platform supports today. (Clean, product-shaped improvements belong with Product Management; this is the messier boundary in between.)
What you’ll do
Lead complex implementations — yours and the team’s
• Own end-to-end programs for some of the most demanding customers: planning, configuration, validation, go-live, adoption
• Act as the senior customer contact on the accounts you carry — creating clarity, managing expectations, keeping momentum
• Manage scope, dependencies, milestones and risk early, before they escalate
Build and structure the team
• Guide two Implementation Managers toward structured, independent delivery — they carry complex, high-stakes customers too, and your job is to make that repeatable
• Introduce consistent ways of working: planning routines, status reporting, escalation paths
• Coach on program management, stakeholder communication, and change management
Own change management with complex customers
• Lead senior B2B conversations and steer customers through change, not just configuration
• Challenge requests when needed and steer toward scalable, product-aligned solutions
• Keep expectations and deliverability aligned from the first onboarding commitment onward
Translate complex needs into the platform
• Turn platform capabilities into concrete customer setups that deliver measurable value
• Support work that runs right up to the edge of what the product does today, and know where that edge is
• Bring structured feedback from implementations back into product and engineering
Requirements
Must-have
• Proven experience delivering complex B2B SaaS implementations end-to-end
• You confidently lead senior customer conversations, manage expectations, and drive alignment across stakeholders
• Experience guiding or coaching other implementation managers
• Strong program management discipline: clear plans, early risk identification, transparent stakeholder communication
• A fast learner on new platforms — you can get functionally deep on a product within 60 days
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English
Strong plus
• You’ve brought structure to a delivery team and made it more predictable
• Commercial awareness — you understand the difference between what a customer asks for and what they actually need
• Automotive, leasing, insurance or fleet software background
How you work
• Proactive by default — you communicate early, not when things are already on fire
• Comfortable with ambiguity, able to decide without perfect information
• You bring a recommendation, not just a problem
• Fast without being sloppy — you know when to go deep and when to move on
Benefits
A role with real ownership in a company that’s growing. You’ll have direct impact on how enterprise customers adopt the UBench platform, and on how the implementation team develops over time. No layers, no bureaucracy — what you build here is visible.
