Project Business Development professional is responsible for driving business growth within the Seafreight Projects segment, with a strong focus on identifying, developing and converting commercial opportunities related to project cargo, breakbulk, oversized cargo, heavy lift and other tailor-made logistics solutions.This role acts strategically in market development, client relationship management, commercial solution design and negotiation, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth, profitability and market positioning objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the commercial strategy for the Seafreight Project Cargo vertical in the local market.Identify, prospect and develop new clients and business opportunities across target industries and sectors.Manage and expand relationships with strategic customers, offering customized logistics solutions based on their business needs.Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals for project cargo, breakbulk, out-of-gauge (OOG), heavy lift and other special cargo movements.Coordinate feasibility assessments with internal stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions are commercially competitive and operationally viable.Lead commercial negotiations with clients, carriers, agents, vendors and other strategic partners.Work closely with operations, pricing, procurement and other support functions to ensure successful execution of the agreed solutions.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer demand and growth opportunities within the seafreight project cargo sector.Maintain an accurate and updated sales pipeline, ensuring visibility, structure and forecast reliability.Represent the company in client meetings, commercial visits, industry events and strategic negotiations.Support the preparation of business cases, commercial forecasts and growth plans for the business vertical.Ensure compliance with internal policies, commercial governance in Business Development / Sales within the seafreight segment, ideally with exposure to project cargo.Proven experience handling special cargo, oversized shipments, breakbulk, heavy lift or other complex logistics solutions.Strong track record in commercial development and client relationship management.Experience in negotiating international logistics solutions and developing tailor-made commercial proposals.Good understanding of freight forwarding operations and the end-to-end international logistics chain.Technical KnowledgeInternational seafreight market and project cargo dynamicsPricing, commercial proposal development and profitability analysisIncoterms, international trade documentation and logistics processesBusiness development, market mapping and pipeline
