The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit new Utilities & piping engineering manager and reporting to the Project Manager Lead.

* Are you familiar with piping design for natural gas, for water, for compressed air as well as for fire water piping?
* Can you develop a detailed design for piping engineering?
* Can you manage a large budget and a complex schedule?
* Can you make quick decision when necessary?
As Utilities & piping engineering manager, you will be managing all utilities & piping aspects of the project at both design level with the design team, and at project level with the project execution team. You will be responsible for overseeing the utilities & piping Engineering, Design and Procurement (incl. underground infrastructures), and will follow up contracts during construction works and commissioning phases until final acceptance.
What you’ll be doing:
* Accountable for successful and safe utilities & piping works delivery in terms of budget, schedule and quality.
* Closely collaborate with the Project Manager in providing overall project.
* Manage the interface between the design, procurement and construction teams.
* Identify key project risks and appropriate mitigation strategies. Communicate progress and key issues with KI management.
* Organize and lead weekly meetings among project management from KI and utilities & piping contractors.
* Organize appropriate design documentation archive, including numbering, revisions, etc.
* Ensure engineering design integrity in each Project area, ensuring correct application of contract requirements, KI technical specifications and corporate and project procedures.
* Lead technical meetings such as PIDs, design, underground systems review.
* Facilitate and expedite technical clarifications and waivers regarding utilities & piping engineering matters.
* Serve as project safety leader, contributing actively to project HSE performance.
* Help establish the project procurement strategy for each package and take a lead role in the management of the procurement process.
* Be responsible to deliver the project to the agreed schedule with stakeholders.
* Drive a risk‑based process to identify where potential quality issues may arise due to complex scope or skill gaps, raise and address these issues early in the project and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
What we’d love for you to have:
We're looking for someone who has
* An academic degree in mechanical or process engineering.
* 5 to 10 years of experience in the engineering and/or project management of large capital investment projects (€10‑50M).
* Experience with tools such as AutoCAD and Navisworks.
* Excellent command of MS Project and MS Office – ability to produce reports.
* Great people management skills – interaction with a multidisciplinary team.
* Outstanding negotiation skills – experience in negotiating contracts.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Scheduling and planning experience.
* Ability to actively resolve conflicts.
* Proficiency in English (verbally & written). Additional languages are an advantage.
* The capacity to travel up to 30% of the time.
