Backend Test Engineer – Automation & DevOps Focus
You will join an Agile, cross-functional team responsible for developing and maintaining a mission-critical, high-performance financial messaging platform.
In this role, you will contribute to the core backend components, focusing on secure connectivity, message exchange, and system reliability. You will work closely with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions in a complex and highly regulated environment
What You Will Do
As a Test Engineer, you will:
* Design, execute, and automate backend tests.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders, technical analysts, and engineers.
* Deliver end-to-end testing solutions.
* Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
* Continuously optimize testing and automation processes.
* Actively contribute within an Agile team, occasionally supporting analysis or development tasks when needed.
Education
* Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Backend Testing Expertise
* Ability to test, reproduce, and troubleshoot complex application-to-application scenarios involving:
* Connectivity
* Cryptography
* Messaging protocols
* Message syntax
* APIs, databases, and middleware (Oracle DB, IBM MQ, ElasticSearch)
Technical Skills
Must have:
* Strong coding skills in Java
* Test automation experience
* CI/CD: Git, Jenkins/CloudBees, Maven
Languages
* English: C1 (mandatory).
Nice to have
* Selenium, Cucumber
* Scripting: Unix Shell, Python, Perl
* Docker and Kubernetes
* Agile tools: Jira, Xray, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub
