About the Role

NISH Tech is looking for a talented Data Analyst with strong expertise in Python, Power BI, Data Engineering, and Data Visualization to support strategic initiatives within the energy sector. In this role, you will work with large-scale simulation datasets, build analytical tools, create insightful visualizations, and contribute to data-driven decision-making that supports the future of the energy transition. You will collaborate with technical experts, business stakeholders, and management teams to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights and user-friendly visual solutions. Responsibilities

Data Management & Engineering

• Improve and optimize data management processes.
• Design and maintain data warehouses, data pipelines, and data integration solutions.
• Consolidate historical datasets into centralized repositories.
• Develop interfaces and integrations between analytical tools and data platforms.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple sources.

Data Analysis & Simulation Insights

• Analyze large volumes of simulation output data.
• Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business insights.
• Perform comparative analysis between different studies and historical datasets.
• Critically evaluate simulation and algorithm outputs and support decision-making processes.

Visualization & Reporting

• Create impactful dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Benchmark visualizations against leading industry studies and platforms.
• Develop dynamic reporting solutions for stakeholders and management.
• Design interactive and user-friendly interfaces for data exploration.
• Present findings and iterate visual solutions based on stakeholder feedback.

Tool Development

• Develop and maintain Python-based analytical tools and scripts.
• Automate data processing and reporting workflows.
• Create and update scripts to identify inconsistencies in simulation input/output data.
• Support continuous improvement of existing analytical and visualization tools.

Qualifications

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Advanced Power BI dashboard development and reporting skills.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Data visualization and storytelling expertise.
• Understanding of data quality management and validation techniques.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• React.js development experience.
• Experience with simulation tools, optimization models, or market modeling solutions.
• Knowledge of ANTARES or similar simulation platforms.
• Experience with data warehouses and cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of energy market analytics and forecasting models.

Domain Knowledge

• Interest in and understanding of the energy sector.
• Knowledge of electricity markets, power systems, or energy transition initiatives is highly valued.
• Experience working with market simulations, optimization engines, or economic dispatch tools is a strong advantage.
