Job Description
As Legal Counsel - Contract Law your responsibilities are:
Draft, negotiate, and monitor a wide range of contracts, including construction, joint venture, maintenance, and shareholders agreements
Offer practical legal advice on diverse topics including contract law, obligations law, and corporate law
Follow up on national disputes and claims involving the company
Collaborate closely with internal teams to assess legal, commercial, technical, and financial aspects of projects
Analyze private tender documents, especially during the bidding phase, and provide legal advice throughout the execution phase
The Successful Applicant
Master's degree in Law
Fluent in Dutch and English; good command of French is an asset
Has at least 5 years of experience as in-house legal counsel
Brings expertise or a strong interest in contract law, construction law, and industrial projects
Demonstrates negotiation skills and experience with complex agreements
Shows curiosity for the technical and commercial dimensions of projects
Is pragmatic, proactive, communicative, and a true team player
Works autonomously with confidence and assertiveness
