Position Overview As part of Operations team, the Data Source Officer will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and traceability of agent‑related data. This role bridges the gap between compliance, oversight, data governance, and technology, supporting both regulatory reporting and operational needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving data quality, establishing trusted data foundations, aligning regulatory compliance, and enhancing the overall efficiency of agent data flows. This position also acts as a critical contributor to Edenred PayTech EU’s audit readiness, enabling data‑driven decision‑making and fostering collaboration between internal teams and external agents.

Responsibilities
Data Quality Assurance
Ensure agent‑related data meets stringent requirements for accuracy, reliability, and completeness across all activities.
Validate data lineage and identify golden data sources while continuously monitoring their integrity.
Regulatory Reporting
Support regulatory compliance activities by ensuring that data used in reporting (for Supervisory Authorities such as NBB and ACPR) is accurate, auditable, and traceable.
Operational Efficiency
Collaborate with agents and internal teams to streamline data acquisition and processing workflows.
Enhance the adaptability of data processes to evolving regulatory and market demands.
Metadata and Documentation
Develop and maintain a centralized repository for agent‑related metadata, including data definitions, ownership records, and usage policies.
Identify data‑related risks in agent operations and recommend remediation strategies to mitigate potential compliance or operational issues.
Team Collaboration
Align data flows, policies, and standards across internal teams (Compliance, AML, IT, and Operations) as well as agents’ external teams (IT, Compliance, and Operations).
Act as a strategic bridge between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and common goals.
Audit Readiness
Support audit preparations by providing assurance around the traceability and regulatory compliance of agent data sources.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of data ownership, flows, lineage, and maintenance within organizational ecosystems.
Familiarity with data governance standards or frameworks (such as BCBS 239) is preferred.
Ability to review, validate, and enhance golden source data and data dictionaries.
Technical Proficiency
Familiarity with data architecture design, and data warehousing principles.
Skills in SQL, data modeling, and API integrations (experience with advanced programming languages or tools is a plus).
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
Awareness of internal control frameworks and risk management principles.
Basic to advanced knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, EBA Guidelines) is highly desired.
Prior experience in supporting regulatory reporting or audits is a strong asset.
Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills
Strong ability to identify inconsistencies in data and implement effective resolutions.
Proficient in conducting root cause analysis for data issues and improving data reliability.
Exceptional ability to translate technical data concepts into business‑friendly language for non‑technical stakeholders.
Skilled in documenting business and technical data requirements for IT and compliance teams.
Capacity to work cross‑departmentally with technical, analytical, and compliance teams, as well as external stakeholders.
Project & Change Management
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple data streams or projects simultaneously.
Experience with project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
Experience coordinating change initiatives related to data governance or regulatory compliance is a plus.
Profile
Education & Experience
Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 3‑5 years’ experience in data governance, compliance reporting or similar activities involving complex data structures and workflows.
Languages
Fluency in either French or Dutch with excellent English skills (written and spoken).
