We're working with a fast-growing scale-up in the gaming industry, who are expanding their data team and is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help scale their application.
You will design and maintain data pipelines and internal tools that power analytics, marketing insights, customer support, and decision-making across a large-scale digital platform. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and commercial teams to ensure data is genuinely useful.
ResponsibilitiesDesigning and maintaining SQL-based data models, transformations, and queries for both analytical and operational use casesBuilding internal dashboards and data-driven applications using React and related technologiesWorking with engineering teams to embed data into internal and user-facing systemsSupporting the rollout and adoption of BI tools as the data stack evolvesPartnering with marketing and customer-facing teams to turn business questions into clear metrics, dashboards, and insightsDeveloping a strong understanding of the company's operations within the gaming space in order to anticipate data needs and define meaningful KPIsProactively identifying opportunities to enhance reporting around acquisition, engagement, retention, segmentation, and overall user experience
Your ProfileAdvanced SQL skillsStrong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and change data capture (CDC) patternsHands-on experience with at least one modern backend or full-stack language, plus practical experience building tools with React (e.g. Recharts or D3)Comfort working with large, high-volume datasets in a production environmentFamiliarity with data warehousing principles and pipeline orchestrationExperience using BI and reporting toolsSolid understanding of marketing analytics, CRM processes, funnel analysis, and user segmentationBackground in gaming, betting, or online entertainment environmentsA proactive mindset when it comes to defining metrics, dashboards, and data-driven improvements
