Position
The successful candidate will be part of the Operations Team (OPS) from our Services Department (comprises of 30 persons) and will primarily support the Ground Segment control and security activities of the control centers, and support the software development and maintenance of the Yamcs Mission Control System.
The candidate will mainly report to the Operations Team Lead.

Tasks and Responsibilities
* Preventive and corrective maintenance of the ground infrastructure
* Install, configure and support of the software tools used during real-time operations
* Coordinate the activities of verification and validation of the ground segment infrastructure
* Detect, analyse, and manage the security incidents from ground-based and space-based infrastructure to rapidly detect, react and contain the incident and to minimising the possible impact
* Generate and maintain the mission-specific Ground Segment Operations Documentation
* Troubleshoot and follow-up of anomalies affecting the ground services to the mission
* Support the development of software tools
* Integrate, interface, and support the different ESA security entities, missions and programs as well as external institutional partners and support security audits
* Provision of shift and on-call support on a regular, though not constant, basis.
Skills and Experience
* A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or equivalent
* Experience with system administration tasks, especially related to Linux, networking and virtual machines
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Polyvalent, stress-resistant and problem-solving attitude.
Considered as Assets
* Programming experience (Linux shell scripting and Java are preferred languages)
* Proven experience in Information Security Technologies with relevant certification(s)
* Knowledge or prior experience with ground segments or mission control systems.
