This internship focuses on further developing our Infrastructure as Code Foundation in Azure, leveraging Azure DevOps for fast and efficient deployments on large-scale projects. You'll gain hands-on experience with automated infrastructure deployment, creating modular templates, and expanding the Azure platform. 1. You are interested in the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform
2. You already have some experience with Azure DevOps and programming
3. You have basic knowledge of Bicep and/or Terraform
4. You have very good knowledge of English, next to your native language (Dutch/French)
5. You are a higher education student who’s looking for an interesting and challenging internship in the field of IT-consultancy;
6. You have excellent communication skills and can work effectively in an international environment (English, French and/or Flemish).
7. Your internship is linked to your education.
8. You are motivated to set up good research, you work proactively and independently, and you like to meet new people
Deployment of automated infrastructure starts in Azure DevOps where we will be setting up repositories and pipelines. After setting up the structure there, we can start developing the Infrastructure. We'll be developing several configurations/templates to deploy our Infrastructure in a modular way so they can be implemented through the previously defined Pipelines according to the requirements.
During the internship, you will:
9. Take care of the Implementation, documentation and validation of the project
10. Create a basic Azure foundation platform as a result to demonstrate functionality
11. Expand the foundation to a full environment deployment with the most common resources required by our customers
For the Internship the following must be developed:
12. Foundation Landing Zone: Multi region Deployment for Azure Infrastructure, secure password generation and storing capabilities in the Azure Environment, Private Build Agents
13. RBAC & Governance: Creating of AAD Groups, RBAC assignment, PIM, Patch & Update management, Azure logging and monitor capabilities, Anti virus Solution / Vulnerability
14. Azure DevOps: Creation of repos, branches, Setting up of service connections / service principals, Creation of Backlog item template
15. Nice to have (depending on progress): Creation of schema files to validate input of parameters, Azure DevOps pipeline to validate parameters of resource pipelines, Azure DevOps test pipeline to test deployment of ARM Template, Script or solution to pull foundation code into a repo.
By the end of your internship, you will have:
16. Built and deployed a working proof-of-concept environment using Azure DevOps, including key foundation components.
17. Created a library of reusable deployment templates for commonly used cloud services.
18. Written clear technical documentation that explains the architecture and provides step-by-step guidance on how the automated deployment process works.
19. Delivered a presentation and knowledge transfer (KT) session to share your solution and insights with the team.
