Job activities include designing and performing surface inspections characterization, 2D 3D measurement systems, accurate positioning systems and industrial inspection systems. /p pOur West European engineering team develops a range of custom made in-line and offline test and measurement machines to help customers achieve higher product quality, faster time to market, and greater value from their test system. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liResponsible for designing, realizing and validating vision system concepts and architecture and the required image processing and analysis. /li liResponsible for optical system architecture, realization and validation of advanced, complex and comprehensive automated test solutions. /li liDesign optical test applications and select optical components in function of specifications. /li liBuild prototype setups and perform theoretical calculations in addition to modeling and analyzing system performance. /li liDesign vision test applications and select vision components in function of specifications. /li liManaging scope, timeline and budget within projects, in consultation with the project manager. /li liOwnership in project teams. /li liUsing clear, concise and meaningful communications. /li liIdentify, define and mitigate issues, dependencies, and risks related to projects. /li liExecute national international interventions. /li liDeliver sales support by providing concepts, calculations and feasibility studies. /li liSupport activities and initiatives for continuous improvement. /li liDocument and communicate lessons learned in projects. /li liPractice self-development and promotes learning in others. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pYou are able to learn quickly; possess a strong attention to detail; have a willingness to work in an organization committed to high quality products and customer service and you have strong developed communication skills to contribute in a project team. /p h3Education /h3 ul liMaster degree or PhD from an accredited engineering or science program. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul li3 or more years of experience in machine vision; vision inspection for production and assembly, (optical) measurement systems, image processing, optics. /li liExperience in optical design software like Zemax, OpticStudio, Code-V or similar is a strong asset. /li liKnowledge to choose correct camera, lighting and lenses for the desired applications. /li liProfound experience in vision software. /li liYou have knowledge of fundamentals in designing image analyse algoritmes. /li liExperience in the realization of algorithms for artificial intelligence or deep learning is a plus. /li liExperience in Halcon, Cognex, LabVIEW, NI Vision, OpenCV, C/C# or Python is a plus. /li liExperience in medical validation (GMP, GAMP, FDA regulation, ... ) is a plus. /li liMust be eligible to work in Europe without VISA sponsorship. /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liYou enjoy finding creative solutions to possible problems.
