We're working with a Brussels-based financial institution who are one of the most trusted names in European banking. As the company continues it's growth, they are strengthening their cybersecurity capabilities and looking for a Senior Security Architect to help design secure systems that protect both data and trust.
You will play a key role in defining and maintaining the company's security architecture. Working closely with enterprise architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, you will make sure that every new technology and process follows a security-by-design approach.
Responsibilities
* Design secure architecture frameworks for critical systems, both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS and Azure).
* Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for major technology projects.
* Ensure alignment with key security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
* Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and compliance teams to embed security controls early in the delivery process.
* Define and maintain clear security principles, standards, and reference models.
* Provide guidance on regulatory requirements (GDPR, PSD2, EBA).
* Mentor engineers and raise security awareness across teams.
Your Profile
* Experience in information security, with experience or ambition to move into an architecture role.
* Deep understanding of network security, IAM, encryption, cloud security, and secure application design.
* Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally within finance, banking, or insurance.
* Confident communicator who can bridge the gap between technical detail and business strategy.
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, CCSP, or SABSA are an advantage.
