Description de l'offre

Job Description: Energy & Utilities Business Analyst DXC Technology | Belgium (Mechelen) Full-time | Consulting | Senior Analyst If you take pride in your work, enjoy being challenged, and want to grow in a demanding consulting environment, we would like to meet you. About DXC Technology DXC Technology is a global IT services leader with approximately 120,000 professionals worldwide, delivering mission‑critical solutions across industries. We partner with some of the world’s most iconic organizations to drive digital transformation, operational excellence, and innovation at scale. Within DXC Consulting, our Energy & Utilities practice works with leading electricity, gas, and infrastructure players in Belgium. Our portfolio includes flagship programs in smart metering, data hubs, smart budget metering, enterprise asset management, and digital transformation, helping clients navigate regulatory pressure, energy transition, and rapid technological change. This is not a support role. This is where credible consultants earn their place at the table. The Role – What This Job Is Really About We are looking for an independent, client-facing Business Analyst / Consultant who can operate confidently from day one. This role sits at the intersection of consulting, analysis, and sales advisory. You will work with other analysts and consultants, but you are expected to stand on your own feet, represent DXC with confidence, and act as a trusted ambassador to our clients. You will be challenged early and often — in assessments, business cases, and real client conversations. Our clients are top-tier Energy & Utilities players in Belgium and Europe. If you enjoy being tested, preparing deeply, and delivering professional, polished outcomes — this role is for you. If you need heavy supervision or are uncomfortable presenting to senior external stakeholders — this is not. Your Key Responsibilities As part of the Energy & Utilities Consulting team, you will: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping DXC remain a credible and strategic partner; Engage directly with clients through interviews, workshops, workgroups, and steering-level discussions; Analyze complex business, regulatory, and technology challenges and translate them into clear, solution-oriented recommendations; Prepare and deliver professional, high-quality presentations and materials suitable for executive audiences; Shape credible strategic approaches, not just analyze problems; Read, assess, and challenge company documentation, reports, and market information; Support pre-sales and sales-related consulting activities, contributing to proposals and client discussions; Work independently on assignments, while collaborating closely with the broader consulting team; Contribute to DXC’s methods, tools, and consulting community, sharing insights and best practices. Professionalism matters — in thinking, behavior, communication, and deliverables. Use every tool available (yes, including AI) — but the ownership and quality are yours. Your Profile We are intentionally selective. We are looking for consultants who are ready — not followers in training. You bring: 3–5 years of relevant experience in Energy & Utilities or closely related domains, including experience gained at a recognized consulting firm or a strong industry player; A Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related analytical field; Strong analytical and structured thinking skills — you will be tested on this; The ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Confidence in client-facing situations, including presentations and strategic discussions; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; A proactive, leadership-oriented mindset — you shape discussions, you don’t wait to be told; High standards for professionalism and quality in everything you deliver; Fluency in English, Dutch, and French (mandatory for this role); Motivation to grow into senior consulting and leadership roles; Strong plus (pre): Experience with smart meter implementations; Knowledge of Oracle databases, SoapUI, EnergyIP 9.0 or other Meter Data Management (MDM) solutions; Certifications such as ITIL, PMI, or equivalent. What’s in It for You? This role offers far more than traditional business analysis or reporting work. It is an opportunity to build real credibility, impact, and strategic relevance in the Energy & Utilities sector. Work alongside — and be challenged by — some of the strongest Business Analysts and Consultants in the Energy & Utilities market, raising your own standards and expertise every day. Build a credible professional reputation with top-tier energy and utility clients in Belgium and across Europe. Move closer to the core of energy and utilities transformation, contributing to strategic decisions rather than operating from the sidelines. Go beyond analysis and reporting by deepening your impact on business strategy, digital transformation, and sustainability-driven change. Combine strategic energy and utilities advisory with sustainability and technology perspectives, shaping forward-looking client approaches. Play a key role in defining client strategies linked to the latest market, regulatory, and technological developments in the energy landscape. Enjoy a high level of independence and autonomy, with trust and responsibility from day one. Be part of challenging, high-visibility engagements where performance matters and excellence is recognized. Access continuous learning, coaching, and certification opportunities through DXC University and real-life client work. Explore horizontal and vertical career paths within consulting, energy & utilities, and international DXC environments. Receive a competitive salary package, combined with a strong focus on sustainable performance and work–life balance. This is a role for consultants who want to stand out, be taken seriously by demanding clients, and actively shape the future of the Energy & Utilities sector — not just report on it. At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success. Our work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Recruitment fraud is a scheme in which fictitious job opportunities are offered to job seekers typically through online services, such as false websites, or through unsolicited emails claiming to be from the company. These emails may request recipients to provide personal information or to make payments as part of their illegitimate recruiting process. DXC does not make offers of employment via social media networks and DXC never asks for any money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process, nor ask a job seeker to purchase IT or other equipment on our behalf.
