Accountant - Belgium
ROLE
The person in charge of this position will mainly manage supplier accounting, working closely with the different departments. Must be a team player with fantastic communication skills.
The Accountant will support the local team in the day-to-day accounting, administration and specific ERP project workflows, AP and AR. Reporting to the central Credit Controller Manager Europe, you will liaise with other teams and departments in our European business to carry out finance-related activities such as monthly closings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts payable :
* Supplier accounting flow management
* Post invoices
* Monitoring supplier invoices
* Update accounting data processing systems
Partner / Retailer Management:
* Monitoring and collecting customer invoices.
* Process of billing.
* Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services
rendered.
* Processing and recording transactions.
* Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
* Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are
accurate and complete, and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals
are up-to-date.
* Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
Miscellaneous tasks :
* Performing bank reconciliations.
* Record accounting transactions in the accounting books.
* Updating accounting data processing systems.
* Participating in the annual audit.
* Entering inter-company transactions.
* Attending the Annual Audit.
* Maintain an overview and contribute to the optimisation of accounting processes, declarations, external reports, etc.
