Based in Brussels, they are looking for a detail-oriented, technology-minded, and experienced Financial Analyst to join their team of change-makers and impact investors.
Your mission
You will be responsible for performing a variety of financial activities including elaborating sectorial research analysis, producing financial and impact reports, developing financial models, and guidance, and coordinating regular financial reporting. You will also be tasked with overseeing their participations and their financial performance by setting and tracking financial goals. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Finance or related fields. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills. Previous experience in the food industry is a plus as you will be exposed to most of the challenges of the growing Food Tech sector. The position will report to the founder and President of the company.
Your responsibilities
1. Understanding key business drivers and trends of the Agri-food-tech industry
2. Performing thorough research, sectoral analysis, and following daily businesses
3. Exploring and analyzing targets and different investment opportunities
4. Analyzing and producing financial statements and reports, holding businesses plan
5. Working with their investees and providing post-investment financial services
6. Developing financial projections, building financial models, producing financial reports
7. Ensuring compliance with accounting laws, authorities, financial quidelines, and regulations
8. Interact with their LP: investors and shareholders relationships (reporting, data, etc.)
Your qualifications
9. MSc in Finance, accounting, or economics or MBA/Economic (bio-) engineer
10. Followed by a relevant and proven minimum 2 years of experience.
11. They value a previous experience at the intersection of food/agriculture and technology. Research skills and ability to present accurate financial data and information.
12. A \"doer\" with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
13. Hands-on experience with financial software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (in creating advanced spreadsheets and with the ability to present financial data using detailed PowerPoint reports and charts).
14. Excellent written and verbal communication. Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
15. Attention to detail and ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
16. Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills.

18. Willingness to learn new businesses at the frontier of technology
