Scientist - Advanced Molecular Analysis (Nitrosamines)

Role Overview
We are recruiting a Scientist to join an advanced analytical development environment focused on molecular and materials characterization of pharmaceutical products. This role sits within a specialized analytical team supporting research, development, and commercial portfolios.
The Scientist will play a critical role in the development and application of analytical methods for nitrosamine quantification across a variety of pharmaceutical matrices. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based position offering exposure to advanced mass spectrometry, chromatographic method development, and complex scientific investigations within a regulated R&D setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement advanced analytical methods for the quantification of nitrosamines, including sample preparation, chromatographic separation, and detection.
* Conduct and support root cause investigations related to nitrosamine formation and presence, spanning early research through late-stage development.
* Apply expertise in mass spectrometry (e.g., Triple Quadrupole, High-Resolution MS) to complex analytical challenges.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional scientific teams, contributing to innovative and fit-for-purpose analytical solutions.
* Establish and maintain external collaborations with academic and research institutions to support scientific innovation.
* Ensure strict adherence to GMP, regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements within the laboratory environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline or Master’s degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
* Demonstrated experience with nitrosamine analysis in pharmaceutical products is a strong advantage.
* Proven hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, particularly Triple Quadrupole and/or High-Resolution MS.
* Experience developing and optimizing chromatographic methods is preferred.
* Knowledge of ICH, EMA, FDA, and GMP validation requirements is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
