Intro
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Analyst – Marketing Automation to join our consultancy team supporting a major European financial services organization. The mission is to help our client know their customers better and interact with them effectively across their lifecycle.
As part of this role, you will work closely with marketing, IT, and customer data teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and automation workflows. You will play a key role in translating business needs into technical specifications and optimizing campaigns to maximize customer engagement.
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst – Marketing Automation, you will:
* Adobe Campaign & Solution Design
* Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for marketing automation campaigns.
* Translate marketing strategies (e.g., lead nurturing, retention, regulatory communications) into technical specifications.
* Define user stories, use cases, and process flows tailored to marketing automation tools.
* Workflow & Campaign Optimization
* Design, configure, and optimize automated workflows for performance, efficiency, and compliance.
* Analyze campaign metrics and recommend improvements.
* Troubleshoot functional and technical issues with IT and platform administrators.
* Data & Compliance Governance
* Ensure data integrity and compliance with GDPR and industry regulations.
* Define data mappings and synchronization rules across systems.
* Maintain audit trails and approval processes for mandatory or high-risk campaigns.
* Stakeholder Collaboration & Training
* Act as the liaison between marketing, IT, and platform administrators.
* Conduct workshops, demos, and training sessions for end-users.
* Support user acceptance testing and validate campaign outputs.
* Project Ownership & Continuous Improvement
* Lead projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to deployment.
* Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and optimize workflows.
* Stay updated on platform updates, marketing automation trends, and AI-driven personalization techniques.
Experience & Competences
Mandatory:
* 3+ years of experience in marketing automation.
* Hands-on experience with Adobe Campaign (workflows, campaign execution, dynamic content).
* Knowledge of data management, integrations (APIs, CRM), and GDPR/compliance requirements.
* Strong stakeholder management, documentation, and testing skills.
* Excellent communication in English, plus French or Dutch.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Preferred:
* Advanced workflow automation (JavaScript, fatigue/pressure rules).
* Experience with real-time integrations and API/webhooks.
* Reporting and analytics (Power BI, Tableau, or native platform dashboards).
* Familiarity with the Adobe ecosystem (Adobe Experience Platform, Analytics, Target).
* Experience in highly regulated industries (banking, healthcare, telecom).
* Knowledge of marketing strategy alignment and omnichannel campaign orchestration.
