The origin story of Roamless is one that will be familiar to many: we saw something that was not working and we decided to fix it for good.
We all travel. We all need to stay connected when we travel. And we all hate roaming charges. Seeing that the current alternatives to roaming are flat‑out terrible, we built a properly global mobile connectivity service that's up to 90% cheaper than your regular roaming charges. We've made it easy, reliable and affordable for travellers to get connected and stay connected as they roam the world.
In just 3 years, we've grown 4‑5x Year on Year and have been trusted by +1M users who overall rate us 4.6 on Trustpilot.
We’re a team of 50 and we’re planning to grow to 100+ in the next ~18 months, hiring globally, working fully remote.
About the role
Hi, I’m Claudia, Head of People at Roamless I just joined the team as the first People and Talent hire.
Roamless is getting ready to take the company to the next level, scaling the team from 50 to 100+ in the next ~18 months. My mission is to set up the people and talent infrastructure needed to do this and building the people and talent team is the first step. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a (Senior) Talent Partner to join us and support this stage of our growth.
What you'll do
You will work closely with me and the co‑founders, finding the best people to join our team.
As a founding team member of the Talent team, you’ll be having a big impact from day 1 in this role.
You will:
Help build the foundations of Talent Acquisition at Roamless. We need to set up everything from scratch. Besides the tasks you’d normally expect in a Talent Partner role, you’ll get to have a real say in shaping our processes and ways of working. You’ll find the right TA tools, shape the interview process, train hiring managers on interview best practice, build a great employer brand and more.
Lead marketing and growth hiring, but support generalist hiring when needed. We’ll need to significantly expand the marketing team and you’ll take the lead on this side of the hiring effort, while being prepared to work roles in other areas when needed.
Own and manage the hiring pipeline of the roles you’ll be working on, full cycle, from kick off and role scoping to offer making and closing, and everything in between. I’ll be there to support you along the way.
Build a talent pipeline where diversity of nationality, gender, ethnicity, background, etc. is the norm and not the exception.
Help build Roamless' employer brand, making sure our external pages and the overall candidate experience reflect the true awesomeness Roamless as a product and as an employer.
Put people first and deliver an excellent candidate experience, where candidates hear back fast and get useful feedback.
Regularly analyse and showcase hiring data insights that can improve our processes and strategies.
What you'll bring
We believe that great talent can come from anywhere. If what we’re describing sounds like you, get in touch.
You have minimum 4 years experience in Talent Acquisition, with experience hiring marketing and growth roles for a B2C mobile app. Ideally, you’ve already mapped out talent with these skillsets and have a good network you can tap into.
You’re organised, systematic and data driven, always looking for ways to improve and optimise hiring efforts.
You’re an exceptional researcher and enjoy the process of digging through many rabbit holes to find what you’re looking for.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You know how to write great email copy that captures the attention of top candidates and how to thoughtfully and constructively reject a candidate at any stage in the process. You're a great listener and persuader, you know how to say the right things to get passive talent interested in working with us, or at least consider it.
You’re not afraid to experiment and try new things, from tooling to interview techniques.
Bonus points, not a requirement.
You've worked in a recruitment agency and can bring in-depth knowledge of sourcing tools and techniques.
You’ve worked on several different markets across Europe.
Location
This is a fully remote role. We’re ideally looking for someone based in Europe, or who knows the European market well and works in Europe-friendly time zone.
Full time role, permanent contract.
Benefits and comp
I just joined and we're still working on our benefits offer, we need to build that together in the coming months.
You can expect competitive pay, an equity package, top‑notch equipment to do your job at your best, and you can have your say in shaping the benefits package with us.
As a manager, I deeply value the development and growth of the people in my team. I'll make sure to coach and mentor you throughout your time here, so you can expand your skillset and stretch your learning curve to its fullest potential. Some examples of how you might expand your skillset:
You want to go beyond marketing and growth roles, learning how to become a generalist TA.
You want to mentor and train a more junior TA (we'll be expanding the team future in the future)
You want to experience being a founding team member of an in‑house Talent team, where you get to build the playbook and learn how to build things 0‑1.
You want to learn how to be an in‑house recruiter after an agency background (we’re open to people with only in‑house experience as well!)
You want to have time to explore new tools and sourcing methods to stretch your skillset.
You'd like to be a Head of People in the future. I'm open to considering candidates who want to move into a people ops or people experience role in the future, as a stepping stone towards a future People leadership role. We could make that happen here.
