We are looking for a dynamic OT/IT Transformation Director to lead the convergence of our Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) ecosystems. This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive strategy, execution, and innovation—bringing together factory-floor systems, enterprise data, and digital platforms to enable smarter, faster operations.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in automation, engineering, IT, and business units to shape our digital future. Our automation stack is built on Ignition by Inductive Automation, so experience with it (or eagerness to master it) is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
OT Responsibilities
1. Together with our automation specialists, prioritize and contribute to the further developments of our automation products, based on the market needs identified by the business;
2. Data structures: Collaborate with data analytics teams to expose OT data (via MQTT, REST APIs, or OPC UA) for real-time dashboards, KPIs, and advanced analytics
3. Oversee integration of OT systems (, PLCs, SCADA, sensors) with IT systems (, cloud platforms, data lakes).
4. Develop and enforce OT standardization, and best practices across all sites and teams.
5. Work with cybersecurity teams to protect industrial assets, data, and networks.
6. Drive digital initiatives such as real-time monitoring, data-driven operations, digital twin,
7. Mentor and support automation teams in modern OT development practices, including scripting, UDTs, and modular project design.
8. Drive the development of our Codeasy automation product.
IT Responsibilities
9. Define and execute a cohesive OT/IT integration roadmap aligned with company goals.
10. Partner with our Digital Programs Director on data infrastructure decisions that support scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
11. Enable the secure flow of data from plant floor to top floor—including middleware, APIs, and cloud architecture.
Requirements
12. 5-10 years in industrial automation, digital transformation, or IT/OT leadership roles.
13. Deep understanding of OT systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS, HMIs) and industrial networking.
14. Experience with Ignition SCADA or equivalent platforms (, Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens).
15. Strong grasp of IT fundamentals—cloud computing, databases, security, enterprise integration.
16. Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
17. Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects and drive results.
A plus
18. Experience with Edge computing, or MQTT/IIoT protocols.
19. Hands-on scripting skills (Python, SQL) and comfort with APIs or web tech.
20. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, IEC 62443).
21. Basic knowledge of (waste)water treatment
