On behalf of one of our clients, a leading international organization operating in a complex, project-driven and industrial environment, we are currently seeking a Senior Controller – Offers & Bids.
Within key business units, our client manages strategic and high-value bids. In this context, this role is critical in ensuring the financial robustness, consistency, and competitiveness of complex commercial proposals, while supporting informed decision-making on high-stakes opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure financial control over complex bids across the defined scope.
* Analyze the economic structure of offers, including cost assumptions, margins, planning, risks, contingencies, and contractual terms.
* Challenge financial assumptions in close collaboration with bid teams, sales, project, operations, and procurement stakeholders.
* Assess the expected profitability and overall financial sustainability of commercial proposals.
* Contribute to the development of business cases and the preparation of bid reviews.
* Proactively identify financial, contractual, and operational risks that may impact future performance.
* Ensure consistency, reliability, and traceability of financial data used throughout validation processes.
* Ensure compliance with group policies related to bid governance, financial validation, and internal control.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of methodologies, tools, and standards related to bid controlling.
* Act as the key financial point of contact for stakeholders involved in the preparation of complex offers.
Candidate Profile
* Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.
* 7 to 10 years of experience in controlling or finance.
* Strong experience in financial controlling, bid controlling, project controlling, or contract finance.
* Solid understanding of financial mechanisms related to tenders, business cases, cost at completion, margins, and risk analysis.
* Experience in industrial, technology-driven, defense, or complex project-based environments.
* Ability to operate in high-stakes, demanding, and multi-criteria environments.
* Strong analytical, synthesis, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to challenge effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial/ERP tools; knowledge of SAP, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
* Fluent in French and professional proficiency in English; Dutch is an asset.
