We are looking for a team player that is a wizard with data analysis, has great communication skills, and a transportation background.
Function description:
As a Traffic Coordinator you will support the EAME Transportation services provided by Caterpillar contracted service providers for the shipment of Caterpillar components overseas.
Key Job functions include but not limited to:
1. Establish good communication & cooperation with the different internal & external partners.
2. Operational support for Outbound & Inbound Ocean shipments. Measure and control Dwell and in process delays.
3. Seek for improvement initiatives related to network planning and transportation supplier management.
4. Assists in calculating costs; uses associated billing and freight payment/audit procedures.
5. Follows process for issuing bids and analyzing responses from carriers.
6. Run daily and weekly reports to monitor progress as per transportation plan. Investigate defects and provide Root Cause Corrective Actions on disrupted shipments.
7. Support international project opportunities such as the integration into a Transportation Management System (TMS)
