Your mission
Main activities
Up-stream process development
Design, optimize, and scale bioprocesses using microbial systems.
Translate laboratory results into robust, reproducible, and scalable bioprocesses.
Analytical chemistry
Proficiency with analytical tools, sensors, and control systems (In process controls). Familiarity with YSI system, HPLC/MS-DAD.
Data analysis and Modelization
Verified experience with process data analysis, simulation, and predictive approaches using R, Python or similar. Strong interest for process modelization.
Lab support & reporting
Bioprocess-related stock management, equipment maintenance ; Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) writing and updating.
Team player
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong collaborative skills. Highly proactive with a hands-on, team-oriented attitude.
Desired background
Degree : Bac + 5 or higher in microbial fermentation or similar with a deep understanding of microbial metabolism and scale-up principles.
Experience : minimum 3-5 years in bioprocess engineering, for example in a relevant Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) environment.
Technical abilities : designing chemostat-like exp. plan; mastering process transfer from flasks to bioreactor scale; experience in scaling-up USP processes ; mastering abilities listed here above; Good understanding of HSE compliance and experience working under BSL-2 laboratory conditions.
Language : French, English professional proficiency (reading, writing, speaking), Dutch is a plus.
Soft skills : autonomy, proactivity, rigor (including documentary), agility, resilience, team spirit, solution-oriented minded.
Additional "nice to have" abilities (not required) : experience in Down-Stream Process (DSP) development and/or in bioactive substances formulation.

Contract : CDI, full-time.
Preferred start : At your earliest availability. Organigram : reporting directly to CTO.
Location : Mont-Saint-Guibert (close to Louvain-la-Neuve station and E411 highway).
