We are currently seeking an experienced Databricks Engineer to join a leading banking client based in Brussels on a 12-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data transformation projects within a highly reputable financial institution, leveraging modern data platforms and cloud technologies.
Key Details:
* Location: Brussels (Hybrid working model)
* Contract Length: 12 months
* Rate: €950 per day

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks
* Work with large-scale data processing frameworks (Spark)
* Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
* Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimisation
* Contribute to the migration and modernisation of data platforms
Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
* Proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala)
* Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
* Solid understanding of data engineering best practices
* Experience within financial services is a plus
* Strong communication skills in English (French/Dutch is a plus)
Nice to Have:
* Experience with Delta Lake
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Exposure to data governance and security frameworks
