IT Automation Engineer - 12 months - Brussels
Our important client is currently looking for an IT Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Brussels. Day rate is negotiable.
Mission
As an IT Automation Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our mobile and web applications. You will work on the 2 projects, which focus on applications for managing patient prescriptions used by both patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Design, create, and maintain manual and automated test scenarios
Execute functional, non-functional, regression, and correction tests
Set up and manage testing frameworks and tools
Perform testing on web and mobile applications
Participate in defining and implementing the testing strategy
Coordinate test execution, defect tracking, and reporting
Support business users during validation and acceptance testing
Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
Minimum 5 years? experience as a Test Analyst / Automation Engineer
Strong experience in web application testing
Solid background in API testing (Postman / SoapUI)
Experience with test management tools (TestLink, TestRail)
Knowledge of BPMN
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Technical Skills
Automation testing with Cypress, Selenium or QTP
Performance testing with JMeter
Basic knowledge of Java
Familiarity with SQL, XML, JSON
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray, Confluence
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
Certifications
ISTQB and/or TMAP Next certification
Soft Skills
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented
Ability to plan and manage complex test campaigns
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Languages
Fluent in French or Dutch
Good understanding of the other national language
