As a Production Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the Metallurgical and Chemical production processes. You will ensure process efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Control & AnalysisMonitor and control metallurgical and chemical refining processes based on available raw materials.Perform statistical analyses on production data to detect anomalies, bottlenecks, quality issues, and efficiency losses.Ensure monthly follow-up of production, consumption, and cost metrics.Document and map production processes through technical files, standard operating procedures, and visual management tools.Operational & Technical SupportCollaborate closely with the head of department to manage plant installations and supervise production staff.Train and coach operators, enhance safety awareness, and implement visual management strategies.Act as backup for the Tankhouse Manager in operational meetings and decision-making when required.Improvement & Safety InitiativesCoordinate and execute improvement projects related to production, safety, and environmental performance.Participate in process safety studies (e.g., HAZOP) and incident investigations (e.g., fault tree analysis).Contribute to testing and implementing new processes or working methods to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Your Profile:You hold a Master’s degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering, with a specialization in Materials Science or Chemistry.You bring initial experience in a process, industrial, or chemical production environment.You possess strong analytical skills and enjoy combining data analysis with hands-on process optimization.You are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.You are fluent in Dutch and EnglishYou show initiative, take ownership of your projects, and confidently make decisions when required.You are hands-on and able to switch fluidly between the shop floor and analytical or technical tasks.You work well both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.You have a clear affinity with process installations and enjoy driving continuous improvement.What’s Offered:A full-time, permanent position in a stable and growing international company with a healthy, mid-sized structure.A challenging and diverse working environment with room for personal and professional growth.A competitive remuneration package, including company car, bonuses, and other benefits.A congestion-free workplaceAn informal company culture that promotes a growth mindset and innovation.Interested?Join an innovative, international team and apply now! jaime.samms@vividresourcing.com +32 (0) 3 318 00 74
