Key responsibilities
As an R&D Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of our medical equipment control systems.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Develop and program automation solutions using Siemens STEP7, TIA Portal, BNR, following a V-cycle approach.
2. Design and integrate SCADA systems (Wonderware Archestra, Wonderware InTouch).
3. Conduct FAT/SAT testing and validation, both internally and on client sites.
4. Lead a control module and ensure its software maintenance.
5. Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients.
Key challenges of the role
6. Development & Programming: Creating and improving automation solutions.
7. Validation & Testing: FAT/SAT cycles, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
8. Support & Training: Assisting teams and clients with implemented solutions.
Your profile
9. Degree in Automation, Industrial Computing, or a related field
10. At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation, including: PLC programming (Siemens STEP7, TIA Portal) and/or BNR SCADA development (Wonderware Archestra, InTouch) FAT/SAT testing and validation in a V-cycle approach Industrial communication protocols (Profibus-DP, PROFINET, ModbusTCP, OPC-UA) and Safety PLCs Knowledge of .Net, Python, SQL, Web development is a plus!
11. Languages: English (B2) & French (C1) required
12. Mobility: Occasional travel (10%), valid driver’s license (B) required
