We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our Liability team based in our Antwerp office. You will spend the majority of your time driving underwriting decisions, actively contributing to business development activities and liaising with customers and brokers. You will deal with customers and third parties independently and on a one to one basis. You will be a senior member in and role mode to the Liability team where you act as point of contact for junior members in the team. Some of the Senior Underwriter responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Taking ownership and accountability of your book of business of large and complex accounts and being able to deliver on set KPI's as per company Plans.
Accessing and applying available UW Tools, Rating Engines, Protocols and technical insights in order to best satisfy the needs of clients and brokers by providing tailored insurance solutions
Accessing senior direction and support as appropriate
You have a Bachelor and/or Master degree and solid experience in Liability Underwriting accompanied with vast technical UW capabilities and insights that you can articulate clearly and concisely in the UW (referral) process
You are a team player and are seen as a role model by peers and more junior staff
Your English is fluent as well as your Dutch and have strong commercial skills
