Role Overview
As Product Owner Key Certificate & Secret Management, you will play a central role in the vision, development, and delivery of innovative and secure solutions for certificate and key management. The position requires a unique blend of PKI, cryptography, and Portunus expertise with a balanced agile and content focus, driving both operational delivery and long-term product evolution. You will help steer the convergence towards post-quantum readiness as part of a large-scale cyber transformation initiative, ensuring alignment with group standards and future-proofing the organization's security.
Main Responsibilities
* Define and champion a long-term product vision for certificate and secret management, closely linked to the strategic roadmap and group cybersecurity objectives.
* Translate customer, business, regulatory and security requirements into actionable backlog items and prioritize based on value and risk.
* Lead the product backlog and facilitate agile ceremonies, ensuring transparent progress, consistent stakeholder updates, and iterative delivery.
* Balance the need for agility with deep content expertise—communicate complex PKI and cryptography concepts clearly and support design decisions.
* Drive group-wide post-quantum and convergence initiatives within key management and crypto infrastructure, challenging the status quo and ensuring readiness for next-gen threats.
* Anticipate future needs and resource requirements to deliver on the roadmap, ensuring seamless scaling or adaptation as the product matures.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
* Deep expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), cryptography, and in-depth hands-on experience with Portunus or equivalent key management platforms.
* Track record as a Product Owner or similar in agile and cross-functional teams, preferably in a banking or highly regulated environment.
* Experience with cyber transformation, SSL/TLS, certificate lifecycle management, and evolving security standards (including post-quantum cryptography).
* Ability to balance agile ways of working (ceremonies, refinement, incremental delivery) with strong content leadership and vision.
* Strategic yet pragmatic thinker, able to anticipate resource needs and future business requirements.
* Strong communicator across technical, security, and business stakeholders; able to make PKI and crypto topics accessible to non-specialists.
* Fluent in English and at least one national language (French or Dutch).
Added Value
* Previous involvement in group security/cyber programs.
* Familiarity with major banking regulations concerning cryptography and digital identity.
* Certification in Agile/Scrum and relevant technical domains (e.g. CISSP, CKA, PKI certifications).
