IOGP Europe is recruiting a Policy Communications Advisor based in Brussels, reporting to the Head of Strategy and Communications.
As part of the Communications Team, you will grow IOGP Europe's visibility and impact by helping plan, craft, and deliver impactful, multi-channel communications activities.
You are driven, creative, and meticulous, looking to grow professionally. You will have the support of staff, suppliers, and industry representatives to help deliver projects that help achieve IOGP Europe's public affairs objectives.
Who we are looking for:
* At least 5 years of advocacy experience in a consultancy, trade association, or in house.
* Experience planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns.
* Experience working in or for the oil and gas industry.
* Understanding of EU policymaking dynamics and processes.
* Passionate about communications and content marketing trends.
* Excellent copywriter and storyteller, able to boil down large amounts of technical content into impactful narratives and messages.
* Media relations experience.
* Brussels-based, ready to travel occasionally.
* Reliable, care for precision and quality work.
* Fluent English. French is an asset.
* Impeccable interpersonal skills.
What you would do:
* Support IOGP Europe's Policy Communications, Marketing, and Internal Communications activities.
* Supervise and carry out projects and deliverables across media, print and digital channels (web, social, media, email, etc.) with the Team's support.
* Advise and support the Head of Strategy & Comms by bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to improve processes, activities, and impact.
* Help cultivate constructive relationships with media outlets; create and deliver content (press releases, quotes, op-eds, briefings, etc.) that is compelling and valuable for them.
* Support cross-sectoral partnerships and seek new cooperation opportunities.
* Continuously measure and assess performance, seeking ways to improve.
* Support and develop more junior staff members.
