Sirris is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join its '(Cyber-) Security' team. This team focuses primarily on innovative cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructures and plays an important role in preventing serious disruptions. With this activity, Sirris is positioned at the forefront of digital security applications that will eventually find their way into all areas of the industry (OT-security). Our work has a direct impact on preventing disruptions in critical infrastructures, protecting our economy and society at large.

Your role
* In collaboration with your team members, you provide technology advice to a diverse group of companies and inform them about the future possibilities of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, security- and advanced software engineering.
* You build innovative prototypes and participate in digital security oriented R&D projects.
* You stay abreast of the latest developments in digital technologies with the potential to help companies innovate.
* You share knowledge with the industry through (co)developing workshops, seminars, master classes and social media posts to help the industry with the large-scale adoption of digital security technologies.
* Your colleagues can turn to you when they have questions about application of digital security technologies and artificial intelligence.
Who are you?
* You hold a master's or doctorate degree in computer science or cybersecurity (or related engineering discipline).
* Diving into technical details is entirely your cup of tea. You have hands-on experience with programming and encryption methods. Initial work experience is certainly of interest, but fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
* You have a keen interest in emerging digital technologies (security, artificial intelligence, distributed intelligence,...) and would like to develop further in one or more of those technology domains.
* You enjoy interacting with customers and helping them realize technology solutions.
* You like being given autonomy while being a real team player who enjoys sharing and bouncing ideas off with colleagues.
* You enjoy learning - are able to develop new skills and new areas of technical expertise - and continue to acquire, improve and innovate knowledge in a constantly changing and fast-growing environment.
* You are fluent in English and have a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
* You enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative and international environment.
