GA-Alliance is seeking a lawyer with a broad yet well-defined interest in European business law, ideally with at least two years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in this field. Demonstrated experience in EU will be considered a strong asset. Additional experience in EU regulatory law will also be valued.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The candidate will regularly work within large, international, and multidisciplinary teams and is therefore expected to demonstrate a collaborative mindset and ease in interacting with a wide range of legal and business professionals. A proactive and self-motivated approach is required, with the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities and to show the competence and commitment needed.
THE LAWYER PRACTICE AREAS COVER:
The candidate should have experience in some of the following area
* European business law
* European law (including fundamental freedoms of the internal market, EU institutional framework, legislative process, etc.)
* Antitrust and competition law
* EU Regulatory law
Key Requirements:
* Excellent academic credentials; an LL.M. is a plus
* Minimum 2 years’ PQE in a relevant legal practice area
* Experience within a top-tier law firm is a plus
* Strong knowledge of European legal frameworks and institutions
* Hands-on experience with antitrust matters
* Business development mindset and strong organizational skills
* In addition to perfect command of English, knowledge of additional EU languages is an asset
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be part of the EU law team, supporting both private and public clients on a global scale. xphnsxz The team regularly assists EU institutions and agencies in shaping future European legislation, as well as in ensuring the proper implementation of EU regulations at the national level across the 27 Member States. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Conducting legal research and in-depth EU law analysis
* Assisting in the preparation of submissions and reports to EU institutions
* Screening new opportunities funded by EU institutions
* Supporting consortium-building processes
* Providing day-to-day legal advice to clients on EU regulatory and compliance issues
* Monitoring and analyzing legislative and policy developments at EU level
