Mission
The department “Strategy & Corporate Development” is in charge of defining the overall Group strategy and assisting in its execution, as well as supporting each business in developing and deploying their individual strategies. The department also leads or supports key Corporate Development activities (M&A, partnerships,…), in accordance with the defined group and/or businesses’ strategy.
As Strategy Manager you will play a leading role in the development and implementation of the Group and business unit strategies, defining strategic vision and priorities, translating strategy into action, leading key strategy/corporate development projects as well as steering the execution of the strategy. Reporting to the VP Strategy & Corporate Development, the role is based at Agfa’s HQ in Antwerp, Belgium.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage and lead key strategic projects that drive growth and value creation across Agfa
2. Closely cooperate with business and functional leaders to jointly develop high-impact strategic plans and translate that into actionable corporate, business and functional initiatives
3. Support strategic decision making by developing deep insights through market analysis, financial modelling, and monitoring industry trends relevant to Agfa’s businesses
4. Synthesize and present findings and recommendations through high-quality presentation for Agfa’s executive team
5. Coordinate inter-disciplinary teams when needed and pro-actively steer BU strategic initiatives
6. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact to address their strategic needs and concerns
ProfileWe are looking for following skills to take on this challenge:
7. Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus
8. 4-8 years relevant work experience in strategy, M&A or other relevant corporate role; prior management/strategy consulting experience is a plus
9. Strong strategic and conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Ability to synthesize complex matters in a clear and concise way
11. Pro-active, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
12. Strong stakeholder management skills
13. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
