Position Overview
The position requires delivery of program of projects by managing a team of transition managers and/or should be responsible for execution of large project, defining and developing Project Management methodologies by working closely with the PMO- Head.
Should be able to define processes, create WoW for projects or large operations in the IT Infrastructure space looks into overall project delivery, and develop relationship with external and internal stakeholders including C-level executives. Responsible for engaging in early phase of projects and work closely with the internal as well as external customer teams on Program delivery.
The preferred candidate will have an extensive background in managing large-scale Infrastructure operations, transitions and transformation projects in an outsourced environment. Candidate from an outsourcing organization/background would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
* Must have IT Infra Domain knowledge
* Proven track record delivering large, complex transition and transformation programs
* Lead and mentor Program Managers, Project Managers, and cross‑functional teams
* Resolve conflicts and ensure effective collaboration across teams
* Track program performance using dashboards and metrics
* Continuously improve delivery and effectiveness.
* Track the outcome and realize the value of delivery
* Executive‑level communication
* Financial acumen and risk management
* Strong program and portfolio management expertise
* Leadership across large, distributed, cross‑functional teams
* Decision‑making in complex, high‑pressure environments
* Total 15+ years of experience, out of which at least 10+ years at a senior management level. Exceptional Infrastructure technical background primarily on Compute, Networks and Storage with core background in managing transformation Projects / Programs on Oracle DB platforms. Experience in managing diverse and multiple teams and complete ownership and responsibility of the team
* Hiring and retaining the best talent, performance management
* Managing aspirations of individuals creating and implementing growth & development plans for the team
* Managing team motivation levels
* Resource planning and balanced resource utilization across different Projects Mandatory Skills
* To lead complex transition and transformation (T&T) engagements with our global clients independently.
* Strong Experience in managing medium and complex size infrastructure transformation program Understanding of contracts and bid management through to development of SOW’s highly desirable.
* Manages conflict constructively, can identify areas of improvement in team thinking.
* Should have been managing a team of project Managers/operations managers/leads
* Should have good analytical skills and eyes of detail, assess risk thoroughly and understands cause & effect systems.
* Knowledge and experience of working on diverse business models and team models with their pros and cons
* Exceptional Hands on with MS project, MS Excel and familiarity
