Commercial Director | Renewable Energy
A leading player in the renewable energy sector is looking for a senior commercial leader to drive profitable growth and strategic expansion across multiple business lines (Distribution, C&I Solutions and Utility Scale).
This is a high-impact role with full ownership of commercial performance, strategy, and team leadership, directly influencing revenue, margins, and long-term positioning.

You will be responsible for:

🔑 Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
* Define and execute the commercial strategy across business lines
* Lead pricing, positioning, and portfolio decisions
* Drive growth focused on profitability, not just volume
* Align closely with executive leadership, finance, and operations
Performance & Business Management
* Own commercial budget, forecasting, and planning
* Optimize margins, business mix, and overall profitability
* Implement and track KPIs with a strong performance culture
Leadership
* Lead, structure, and scale the commercial team
* Build a high-performance, results-driven culture
* Define incentives, organizational design, and talent development
Processes & Cross-functional Alignment
* Standardize and optimize commercial processes
* Drive CRM, reporting, and funnel management
* Ensure strong alignment with:
* Operations (delivery)
* Marketing (demand generation)
* Finance (profitability)
* Oversee the full customer journey end-to-end
Strategic Sales
* Personally lead high-value deals and key negotiations
* Manage strategic accounts and key partners
* Close complex transactions (EPC, PPA, framework agreements, etc.)
✅ What We’re Looking For
* 10+ years in commercial/business roles
* 5+ years in senior leadership positions (Head of Sales / Commercial Director / Business Director)
* Proven track record in renewable energy (solar PV and/or BESS)
* Experience in turnkey projects and/or large account distribution
* Strong exposure to complex negotiations and P&L ownership
* International experience is a plus
🎓 Background & Skills
* Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or similar
* Postgraduate education (MBA or equivalent) is highly valued
* Advanced CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot or similar)
* Strong analytical skills (Excel, forecasting, business planning)
* Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, etc.)
🌍 Additional Requirements
* English: B2 minimum (C1 preferred)
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Solid understanding of the electricity market
* Availability to travel internationally
