Role Overview:we are looking for ahighly experienced SAP Ariba Sourcing and Contracts Specialist to support and enhance two ongoing procurement-related projects within a large-scale public-sector environment. The current initiatives involve:
* Direct materials sourcing for spot buys exceeding €30,000 within the B-Procurement domain (S2PO process).
* Contract management for infrastructure and works projects under Directorate B-Stations.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Ariba Sourcing and Contracts.
* Strong knowledge of SAP Ariba modules (Sourcing, Contracts, SLP, Guided Buying).
* Experience working in large and complex enterprise environments.
* Proven experience with SAP Ariba – SAP ECC / S/4HANA integration.
* Solid knowledge of SAP CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway).
* Expertise in Microsoft PowerApps.
* Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Xray tools is appreciated.
* Familiarity with public sector procurement rules is mandatory.
* Prior experience at NMBS is a significant plus.
* Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with strong proficiency in English.
* Autonomous and proactive, with strong leadership capabilities
* Team player who encourages collaboration and mentoring.
* Strong analytical thinking with business-focused problem solving.
* Clear communicator capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and contribute to complex SAP Ariba projects and change requests.
* Ensure effective integration with SAP Ariba Guided Buying and SAP ECC / S/4HANA.
* Leverage experience in SAP CIG integration to support technical and functional alignment.
* Utilize expert-level knowledge of PowerApps for custom enhancements and automation.
* Apply a strong understanding of public sector contract management regulations.
* Coordinate and support testing activities and small team task allocation.
* Coach and support junior SAP specialists and foster a knowledge-sharing environment.
